Pickleball – a game that’s taking the world by storm – is a perfect hybrid of three classic sports: tennis, badminton, and ping pong. You get to play it both indoors and outside on a court that has a net, using a paddle and a perforated ball. Think of it as playing ping pong on a badminton or tennis court. This game is a great way to have some fun, stay active, and meet new people regardless of your skill level. Whether you prefer playing for fun or for competitive reasons, Pickleball is an excellent choice. Please note that Parks and Recreation programming takes availability precedence. So, don’t miss out on this fantastic game and get ready to get your pickleball on.
The Putnam Park is definitely a great place to play some tennis! These courts operate on a first come first serve basis, so be sure to get there early if you want to secure a spot. It’s worth noting that the tennis courts are also shared with Pickle ball enthusiasts – so you might want to try your hand at that sport as well! Just make sure you’re respecting other individuals using the court and are following all relevant rules and regulations. Finally, keep in mind that Parks and Recreation programs may take precedence over regular use, so make sure to check out the schedule in advance so you don’t miss out!
