Paint Like Boss Ross

Learn the Bob Ross painting technique by a Certified Ross instructor. All necessary tools and materials provided, you’ll embark on a journey to paint “happy little trees and landscapes” step-by-step! Everyone is welcome, and those under 13 may join with a parent’s guidance.

Introduction oil Painting

Have you ever wanted to try oil painting but didn’t want to invest in all the supplies before knowing if you would enjoy it? Are you curious about oil paints, brushes, mediums, color mixing, and how artists create beautiful paintings? Do you have questions about setting up a workspace, caring for brushes, or cleaning up

after a painting session? This hands-on introductory workshop is designed for complete beginners and will include creating a 16″ x 20″ oil painting to take home and enjoy. All materials are included, and no previous experience is needed.

Babysitting

This 3-hour class certifies teenagers in babysitting and child safety. Students learn CPR, First Aid, Choking and Home Safety. In addition to basic caregiving skills, teens will gain skills in leadership as well as safety and injury prevention. Pre-registration is required. Certificates awarded at the successful conclusion of the course.

Beginner Chalk Art

Want to learn how to get started with chalk art? Join a Certified Master Chalk Artist and learn the fundamentals of color theory, blending, shading, and composition. Build the skills and confidence to create your own colorful chalk artwork. All materials provided. NOTE: Please register one week in advance to ensure ample supplies are available.

Intermediate Chalk Art

Ready to take your chalk art to the next level? Build on your skills through individualized, project-based instruction while refining technique, composition and artistic confidence as you prepare for local chalk festivals. All materials provided. NOTE: Please register one week in advance to ensure ample supplies are available. Must have previous experience or instructor approval for registration.

Insta~Lens

This hands-on smartphone photography workshop is designed for teens ready to level up their Instagram and social media game! Through fun outdoor locations, you’ll master pro compositions, unique camera angles, and perfect cropping techniques. Dive into mobile editing tools to make your shots pop naturally, helping you create a unique, signature feel. You’ll leave with a curated digital portfolio and the skills to capture the world like a pro! Each session will meet at a different local location, starting at the Centre on 10/15. Register by October 8.

October 2: Invisible Forces: Magnetism and Mazes: Investigate magnetic attraction, repulsion & fields.
November 6: Botany Explorers: Seeds, Leaves & Trees: Learn how seeds grow, the importance of trees and why leaves change colors.
December 4: Winter Weather Lab: Snowstorms in a Jar: Learn how snow forms and investigate winter storms.
